This page is all about improvements to our property, house, rebuilding our horsefloat.
We own a 10 acres block with a 10,000sq ft stableblock on it, unfortunatley the property we bought had received minimal maintainance that was required over the years so we have a big job cleaning up and maintaining the property. But it is a challenge we enjoy. We are refenceing, redesigning the structure of the farmlet, building a lunging ring and a dressage area, yards, loading area. Planting trees as well as redecorating the house and other work that the house requires. It is hard work but it will be worth it in the end. the property also includes a 600 mtr track, we are 10 minutes from the beach, forestry, 10 minutes from Foxton track and 15 minutes from Awapuni track where we utilise the swimming pool.
Here is our Fence between our little ole house and the loading bank. the paling Fence was all rotten and falling apart. We have now replaced it with a Post and Rail Fence, shown in the 3rd photo with the first coat of Oil. The man in the middle photo is Nathan who is an IHC boy who comes and helps on the farm once a week. He just loved destroying the old fence!
These next photos are of other rubbish fences that are being replaced. In 2 of the photos you will see our supervisors Boss (the big dog) and Deisel the little dog with the cover on. Both of these boys are rescues, one from nassus animal shelter and one from a private party.
