September Soda geared up for her first event of the season. This was a CTR event at Waitarere. I had a big season planned for her, as we were going to do some inhand classes at the A&P shows, Allbreeds and HOY.
Soda went to waitarere, came in with amazing heart rates. She loved the ride and went so well. She won the groom turnout, and won her class by 10 points.
Sadly the next day she had swelling in her leg. She has popped some tendon fibres and is out for the whole season. She has started her first month of rest, and has one more to go, then she can start her rehab.
I was totally devastated, and Soda confused as to why she has to be in small areas and not allowed out in the big paddocks.
